The President of the CEPA Foundation, Harald Leibrecht, is invited to speak on “Europe’s Immigration Dilemmas” and other current topics concerning transatlantic trends and issues at several universities and colleges during his trip to the United States later this month.
He will present to and meet with students, faculty, and staff at The College of New Jersey, Ithaca College, and West Virginia University, to name a few.
He was born in the U.S. and is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Germany. As a former member of the German Parliament, he engaged with transatlantic cooperation for many years, particularly in the areas of intersocietal exchange and educational cooperation.
Through his former assignment and experience gathered as the official Coordinator for Transatlantic Cooperation in the Field of Intersocietal Relations, Cultural and Information Policy at the Parliament, he can provide unique insight into some of today’s most important issues relating to immigration and the current refugee situation in Europe.
