On August 7 2019, the FUNCOLI Free Hearts Foundation– the prime beneficiary of The CEPA Foundation’s Charitable Project in Guatemala– recieved praise from the Antiguan Rotary Club and Francisco Viau, the District Governor, for itsuccess in attainting the objectives set forth in their Global Grant Award.
Following the Rotary Club and Governor’s visit, FUNCOLI President Ingrid Juarez Brenner released the statement below:
“I am very glad to inform you that the visit took place with much success and all of them were really impressed with our results and with the informative presentation that we have prepared for them on the development up to now from year 2018 and what has happended on year 2019 on the Global Grant. We are sure that by the end of year 2020 FUNCOLI will finish the Global Grant reaching what is expected and much more with much satisfaction.
We had that day 45 children attended classes, they personally thank the visitors all their great support and showed in their smiley faces how grateful they feel with all the help they are receiving from Rotary. They only thing that we are missing is the store that I am trying to get a donation to be able to build it and be able to put the corresponding furniture. I hope we will be able to construct this small store in the next two or three months, but already have the place and the design to put it in, as soon as we get a donation for it.“
At The CEPA Foundation, we are very proud to support our Charitable Project in Guatemala and the FUNCOLI Free Hearts Foundation. It is invigorating to witness the impact that our combined efforts have had on Guatemala’s indigenous community. We look forward to continued success as FUNCOLI finishes their year on the Global Grant.
