In the spirit of giving back, we wanted to share with you one of our service learning opportunities that our Dublin students participated in this semester. They went to a non-profit in Dublin called Jobcare, which has been helping to support the unemployed in the area for the past 20 years. The program they were supporting is called Jobnet.Jobnet is aimed at the out of work professional class and has won awards for its social entrepreneuership.
The day our students attended the program, our students joined different groups who were working on improving their resumes and cover letters. There were presentations focused on the issue of long-term unemployment along with some general advice on networking and social media. Thank you for having our students Jobcare! They had a great time!
