Mr. Leo Michel, who has served as Director for NATO Policy within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, as well as having served many other defense and security-related positions spoke to ESC semester students and students from The University of the Incarnate Word on the role of NATO as well as defense and security policies. Students learned about the background of NATO and defense, as well as how NATO responds to crises in Europe and globally and NATO’s involvement in Europe and its security environment. A lively Q&A session followed.
